John Colette has just written an in-depth dissection of Tiger and it’s place in current culture and given it a great review:

“Cleverly, TIGER skirts the use of Tokyo as a kitsch backdrop, forgoing the glib outsider view of the city that Lost in Translation can’t resist. The Japanese themselves barely feature in the film, and the naïve observations of the cultural outsider are mercifully absent…it retains a vibrancy of vision that holds together extremely well over the hour or so that it runs. Combining this with what are genuinely resonant moments of observation, it is a pleasure to watch.”
